Project Safe Cabarrus has worked with law enforcement officials and Windstream to set up the Cabarrus County Gang Prevention and Information line for citizens of Cabarrus County to call and request to speak with gang investigators about suspected gang activity. Citizens will have the option to provide personal contact information to receive a return call from an investigator or to remain anonymous and leave information for investigators to follow up.

Each call will be followed up as quickly as possible from a gang investigator from the law enforcement department the caller is requesting assistance from. The community is also invited to leave requests for gang presentations or request to speak with our Youth Resource Coordinator who works with at-risk youth.

The line is also available to our Hispanic community to leave information for follow-up.

The Cabarrus County Gang Prevention and Information line has been established for our community to share information with law enforcement officials regarding concerns relating to suspected gang activity or to report graffiti and to learn more about the efforts of what is being done in Cabarrus County to suppress gang activity here and keep Cabarrus County safe.

One of the largest objectives of Community Policing is to reduce crime and the fear of crime in our Community. We hope this communication tool will help achieve that objective.
